Reliance Jio , in response to a consulting paper published by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), titled Digital Transformation through 5G Ecosystem, suggested that the government should frame a policy to shut down the 2G and 3G networks in India and move the existing users to 4G and 5G networks. In a separate response, Vodafone Idea (Vi) also made the same suggestion and highlighted that the existence of such barriers lead to a digital divide and impacts the ecosystem for 5G use cases. The regulatory body sought opinions on the barriers to the development of the ecosystem for 5G use cases, which need to be addressed and the possible policy and regulatory interventions that can overcome them. Krutrim , the AI startup founded by serial entrepreneur Bhavish Aggarwal , has gained unicorn status after securing $50 million in funding from investors including Matrix Partners India. iQoo Neo 9 Pro is confirmed to launch in India on February 22. The model was initially introduced in China in December 2023 alongside a base iQoo Neo 9 model. The company has confirmed several details of the upcoming iQoo Neo 9 Pro India variant. The design, colour options, configuration, and chipset details of the handset have already been revealed. iQoo has now also revealed the AnTuTu score of the phone.  iQoo India claimed on X that the iQoo Neo 9 Pro carries the segment's highest AnTuTu score of more than 1.7 million. Realme 12 5G and Realme 12+ 5G are said to be in the works and details of the new handsets have surfaced online, shortly before the company launches the Realme 12 Pro series in India. Two new Realme 12 series handsets have been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, which suggests they could make their debut in the near future. The Realme 12+ 5G has also been listed on China's MIIT certification website, along with images of the purported handset. Spotify said on Friday that Apple's new plan to comply with the European Union's Digital Markets Act ( DMA ) is "a complete and total farce." From early March, developers will be able to offer alternative app stores on iPhone and opt out of using Apple's in-app payment system, which charges commissions of up to 30 percent, under the bloc's new rules. However, developers will still be required to pay a "core technology fee" of EUR 50 (roughly Rs. 4,500) per user account per year under Apple's new EU regime.
